The Lionshare will be screening at the Shared Film Festival in Korea which will take place from June 3-7, alongside Jamie King’s Steal This Film II, RiP! A remix manifesto, Star Wreck, and many others. Wish we could be there!

They’re showing the movie at a Masonic Temple? Awesome.
I’ve just been notified via email that we’ve been accepted to the Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival in Bay City, Michigan. From their website:
HHM Fest is more than an event for those who simply appreciate film and music. It’s a grassroots effort to develop a community that participates in the arts. The festival idea developed from a “wouldn’t it be great…” conversation, into “we can do it” action. We hope our actions will inspire others to develop new arts and culture opportunities in our community.
…
It’s our 4th year of fighting for independent film and live original music, and we have one “hell” of a line up of features, docs, shorts, animated, student and foreign language films. Plus, a Saturday night of music at the old Masonic Temple with bands Oh My God (Chicago), Baby Teeth (Chicago) and Champions of Breakfast (Detroit).
Help us fight for independent film and music. Plan to attend HHM Fest-4 October 1-4, 2009. For information on advance ticket and pass sales please contact info@hhmfest.com.
Sounds good to me! Doubtful we will be in attendance, but it’d be pretty cool…we’ll see what happens.
Just a reminder about our next screening as a part of the NewFilmmakers series: Tuesday, September 1 at 8pm at The Anthology Film Archives. I’ll be there selling copies of the DVD and serving free wine afterward.
The DVD is almost finished, I promise. I’m expecting to have it for sale the beginning of August. Until then, there are two and a half ways to watch it:
The movie rests here in its entirety, in HD quality. It’s ad-supported, so if you get the urge, feel free to click on one. So far it’s netted us a whole $0.24.
The movie is split up into eight parts on YouTube, also in HD quality.
The same videos as YouTube are being posted here on Vimeo HD at the rate of one per week due to their HD upload restrictions. As of today, the first three of eight parts are up (hence the half).
If you watch on any of these sites, please leave a rating and/or a comment!
Once the DVD is out, we’re going to be organzing more local screenings in the New York area, plus wherever else we can get it shown. For now, the only firm screening date will be part of the NewFilmmakers series at The Anthology Film Archives on Wednesday, September 1. For more details, click on the ’screenings’ tab above.

UPDATE: Apparently there was some mistake and the movie is actually screening on Saturday, June 20th, not Thursday.
I was notified by email very late last night that the movie has been selected to screen as part of the Bronx Independent Film Festival. It will be screening on Thursday, June 18 Saturday, June 20 after several short films beginning at 7:30. (By my calculations, The Lionshare should begin at approximately 9:30. But don’t quote me on that.) Here are the details:
WHEN: Thursday, June 18 Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 PM
WHERE: The Lovinger Theater at CUNY Lehman College
250 Bedford Park Boulevard West
Bronx, NY 10468.
Here’s the listing on their website: http://www.bronxstage.com/html/films/the_lionshare.html
Sure, a lot of it’s wrong and/or incomplete, but it’s up there!
